Polystyrene Recycling

Did you know that 10,000 tonnes of polystyrene are discarded in the UK every year?

If you’re a North London resident, you can recycle polystyrene at South Access in Waltham Forest and Summers Lane in Barnet Reuse and Recycling Centres (RRCs).

Polystyrene is a tricky material since it takes up a lot of space despite being lightweight. At LondonEnergy, we are committed to reducing the amount of polystyrene that ends up in landfills by recycling it. This makes our solution more environmentally responsible.

Due to its shape, the polystyrene processed at our reuse and recycling centres is also known as expanded polystyrene. After it has been recycled, the polystyrene is then used to make insulation panels for the housing and construction industries. The recycling process emits no carbon emissions and uses significantly less energy than other processes, making it eco-friendly.
